How Crown Placement Works
A crown replaces a missing tooth and attached to the implant abutment. We often recommend porcelain, ceramic, or metal alloys. These materials look natural and restore strength and function.
We begin with a full evaluation of your oral health. After reviewing your needs, we suggest the best crown material. We prepare the area by removing a thin layer of enamel to ensure an accurate fit. Next, we take impressions and make any adjustments. Our partner dental lab then creates a custom porcelain or ceramic crown, which usually takes up to two weeks.
You will wear a temporary crown during this period. It protects the implant and maintains your smile. When your final crown arrives, we secure it using dental cement matched to your natural teeth.
Direct attachment works well for back teeth and makes future repairs easier. Cemented crowns often look best in the front. We choose the method that best supports strength and appearance.
